Relationships - thoughts over rain.

It's raining in Bangalore. The pre-monsoon showers have started to kick in. Weather's cooler now, so is the mind. A friend of mine told me once, that rains have this ability to slow down time, that for a moment we enjoy it. Nature always find ways to be admired of. It even gives time for us to reflect - think of life, people and places, things and memories. What I thought of in this fine evening was about relationships.

To be frank, I'm not planning on a pep talk on relationships and its values. Instead I wanna talk about how underrated the term 'relationship' has become these days, and how misplaced it's values have become, particularly in friendships. I call them 'Tissue Paper Relationships' - the reason can obviously be figured out.

This 'Use and Throw' mentality is increasing among modern-day relationships. Friends are no longer 'friends' but two people pretending to be close to each other till they are done with whatever they've wanted from each other. Intent-based relationship is the new trend.

There used to be a time when friendships lasted till the end and relationships were real and really meant something. I can only hope of its return. If you have such good relationships, keep them. You're blessed.

It's still raining.
